About Our Pups
How The Tridon Dogs Bring Us Closer To You
A lot of people ask us, “What’s the deal with the two dogs running around your office?”
The answer makes for a great story…
But first, you should meet Bella and Kamikazee….

BELLA KAMIKAZEE
Bella is a female Akita and Kamikazee is a male Akita; both are owned by Mary Beth Yannessa, the owner of Tridon Industries. Together, Bella and Kamikazee keep us entertained with their crazy antics, alert us when we get visitors, and perhaps most importantly, remind us to not take life too seriously. When the day gets too busy or stressful, the dogs have a powerful way of lightening the mood in the office. When we need a break, we’ll take a few minutes to walk the dogs or play fetch. It’s incredibly restorative. And if you’ve ever met either of our furry friends, you already know why we love our pups so much.
Many years ago, back when Tridon was a fledgling company that operated out of Mary Beth’s home, she had another female Akita named Shadow. Shadow was a hulking 110-pound gentle giant that followed Mary Beth everywhere. They shared a special bond, one that was tested when Mary Beth suffered debilitating back injuries. Shadow became Mary Beth’s caregiver: she nuzzled with Mary Beth when the pain got unbearable, alerted people when she needed help, and was a loyal companion. When the company grew and moved into its current office in Pottstown, Shadow came along too—as did Kamikazee. Together they kept watch over all of the Tridon employees.
Shadow gave Mary Beth so much, and Mary Beth wanted to give back in return. So, inspired by Shadow’s legacy as human caregiver, Mary Beth joined Canines For A Cure (currently Bark For Life), a dog-walking fundraiser affiliated with the Pottstown Relay for Life annual cancer event. Mary Beth served as the group’s chairperson in 2007-2009. Her first year as chairperson, the group raised $13,900 for cancer awareness and research. In 2009, the group raised $92,000.
Mary Beth and her husband also donate annually to the Akita Rescue of Western New York.
Sadly, Shadow passed away in November, 2009.
But her legacy lives on, in the form of Bella…
As soon as little Bella took her first steps in the Tridon office, we knew she was special. A lot of you may recognize her as the Tridon mascot we feature in our newsletters. And a lot of you ask why we choose to feature her in our publications. While we think being awfully cute is reason enough, Bella actually serves a higher purpose. Bella is our connection to you, fellow dog-owners and dog-lovers: a way to break the ice, get to know you better, show you that Tridon isn’t just another no-name contractor with nothing unique to say. If you own a dog or are a dog-lover, then we already have something in common. And we think finding common ground is the first step in building long-lasting and rewarding relationships with our customers.
So when people ask us, “what’s the deal with the two dogs running around your office?” We say, “Shadow, Bella and Kamikazee have changed our lives, and they've brought us closer to you, our customer.”
How has your canine companion changed your life?
